Our Story

Nexen Foundation

After many years of hard work in the corporate world, Matias Ahumada and Sergio Ferrando found themselves jobless after selling the businesses they used to work for. They decided to join forces to start Nexen, with the goal of advancing business owners in the process of selling their companies.

Crisis as an opportunity

Argentina was hit hard by a socioeconomic crisis. During that time, Nexen advised many companies that needed debt restructuring and financial discipline to face a worrying future. In some cases, Nexen represented the creditors

Nexen begins to develop its own investment projects.

With access to a financially capable client base, Nexen ventures into new business development using strategic partners as a platform. Thus, it begins to develop and manage different businesses in the different thriving industries in the region.

Nexen grows its team with young blood

New associates join Nexen, among whom are Diego Ahumada and Marcos Ferrando, the children of the original partners. They join the structure after more than 5 years of experience in different companies in Argentina and the United States.
